Terms and Conditions

Welcome to peacepupsdogtraining.com (the "Site"), owned and operated by Peace Pups Dog Training ("Peace Pups," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Site and your relationship with us as a visitor or prospective client. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
These Terms govern use of the website. The terms of your actual training relationship with us, including health, safety, and liability matters during sessions, are governed by the separate Client Agreement and Liability Waiver that all clients sign before training begins. Where the two documents address the same topic, the signed Client Agreement and Liability Waiver controls.
1. Who We Are
Peace Pups Dog Training provides private, play-based dog training services in San Diego, California, including in-person and virtual lessons for puppies, adult dogs, and rescues, with a focus on reactive, anxious, and rescue dogs.
2. Use of the Site
You may use the Site to learn about our services, request information, and book training sessions. You agree to provide accurate and current information when filling out any form on the Site, and to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems
Use any automated system (such as a bot or scraper) to access the Site without our permission
Misrepresent your identity or your dog's history when booking services
3. Booking, Payment, and Cancellations
Sessions and packages are booked directly with Peace Pups, either in person when we meet or over the phone. Pricing in effect at the time of booking applies unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment is made directly to Peace Pups, not through a third-party booking platform. Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy: We require at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a session. Rescheduling a lesson with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a rescheduling fee. Same-day cancellations are charged the full cost of the lesson.
We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking, including for safety reasons related to a dog's behavioral history, at our discretion.
4. No Guarantee of Results
Dog training outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including a dog's individual temperament and history, consistency of practice between sessions, and the home environment. While we bring our full expertise, patience, and a personalized plan to every client, we do not guarantee specific behavioral outcomes or timelines, and no statement on this Site, in a session, or in marketing materials should be understood as a guarantee.
5. Health, Safety, and Liability During Training
All in-person and virtual training sessions are subject to the separate Client Agreement and Liability Waiver that you sign prior to your first session. That document governs matters such as assumption of risk, vaccination requirements, and liability during training activities. Nothing on this Site is intended to modify or replace that signed agreement.
6. Text Messaging (SMS)
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from Peace Pups related to your inquiry, scheduling, and appointments. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. Our handling of your phone number is described further in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
All text, graphics, logos, photos, videos, and training materials on the Site are owned by Peace Pups Dog Training or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
If you submit a testimonial, review, or photo/video of your dog for us to use, you grant Peace Pups a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, and display that content in our marketing, including on the Site and social media, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
Separately, photos and videos taken during training sessions may be used for marketing purposes as described in the Client Agreement and Liability Waiver, which allows clients to opt out in writing before training begins.
8. Third-Party Tools and Links
The Site uses third-party tools to operate (for example, scheduling, payment, and form/e-signature providers), and may occasionally link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services. Your use of any third-party tool linked from or embedded in the Site is also subject to that provider's own terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peace Pups Dog Training is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site. This section addresses use of the website itself; liability related to in-person or virtual training services is governed by the separate signed Client Agreement and Liability Waiver.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
